Housing Applicants

All housing applicants are assessed in housing review. Reviews are carried out on a 15 month-2 year basis, where possible. Approx. 650 applicants would be included in review.

Applicants are divided up between those applying for one-bed, two-bed and family type housing. The last review resulted in a breakdown as follows:

  • One-bed Priority List – approx. 14 persons
  • Two-bed Priority List – approx. 20 persons
  • Family type Priority List – approx. - 25 persons

Supplementary lists would be as follows:

  • One-bed  - approx. 63 persons
  • Two-bed – approx. 90 persons
  • Family Type – approx. 86 persons

There would also be approx. 43 persons in review who have applied for transfers from their present accommodation. The main reason for this would be an increase in family size from when they were first re-housed and, therefore, are now seeking a larger house. The remainder of applicants in review would be those no longer interested in re-housing.
